Main Street Delaware is situated in the small town of Delaware, Ohio just about 30 minutes north of Columbus, Ohio. Don’t let the small town moniker fool you, this town is bustling with shopping, amazing food, family activities, and a whole lot of passion.
Recently, I was invited to explore Downtown Delaware with a group of amazing fellow Columbus influencers. Including my sister, Eat Play Cbus, pictured here. We had a full day of shopping, eating, exploring, and laughing.
Before I get into all the specific shops and spots we visited, here is a little bit of info about the people who are working to make the city of Delaware a must visit spot for anyone in Ohio.

Main Street Delaware
Main Street Delaware is a group of working, playing, living, learning, downtown passionate people doing all we can to perpetuate the heartbeat of this fantastic little hometown. This volunteer-run organization is working day and night to make the town of Delaware thrive AND simultaneously encourage visitors to their great town.
They work with the small businesses in Downtown Delaware to help with free design consultations, business trainings, and support. They are an incredible organization who are helping to give their hometown the attention it deserves.
Now, let’s get into all the great businesses that we visited during our day of fun in Delaware!
Main Street Delaware Farmers’ Market
I love a good Farmers’ Market but the one in Delaware was amazing! It’s on Saturday mornings from 9AM-12PM and goes up and down Sandusky Street (which is their “Main Street”). There were TONS of vendors but spaced out effectively so you didn’t feel like you were standing on top of people and could take your time looking at vendor booths.
I also found the most beautiful fresh ginger from a local farmer and super cute wooden earrings in a Harry Potter design. Main Street Delaware plans a lot of fun events throughout the year that you can check out here.
Fresh Start Bakery
I LOVE Fresh Start Bakery oh so much. They have incredible pastries, amazing coffee, and a great space to meet a friend or set up and do a little work.
We got to sample their breakfast catering spread and WOW, it was delicious. The sausage and gravy was a group favorite. They also had lox deviled eggs which I could have probably eaten a dozen on my own.
You can visit their website or Instagram to check out their evolving menu and reach out to place a catering order of your own.

As an English major and lover of reading, you’ll always find me stopping by a bookstore when I can. Beanbag Books is a family owned children’s bookstore in Delaware, Ohio. They sell children’s books, games, toys, and also reading for young adults.
They are currently renovating their space and will be back in their updated location in early October 2022. Make sure you are following them on Instagram or Facebook to see all updates. They also will host events throughout the year that are perfect for the whole family.

Coffeeology
I won’t pick favorites on our trip to Downtown Delaware but if I could bottle up Coffeeology and put it right next to my house, I would do it. This boutique shop has everything you need in a small town (or anywhere) coffee house.
Their coffee is delicious and they have a wide variety of options and seasonal favorites. They also have a coffee flight that I haven’t yet tried but I need to immediately. Follow them on Instagram for highlights of their offerings.
In addition to making delightful caffeinated beverages, they have a handful of tables interspersed between home goods for purchase. If you need a pick me up while you are bopping around Main Street Delaware, this is the spot.

Tiny House Vintage and Art
Yet again, I’d love to just transport Tiny House Vintage and Art to my home. Luckily, I can purchase all their handmade pieces of art and decor to put up in our house!
Jennifer Kerr is the creator behind the art sold by Tiny House Vintage and Art. She creates beautiful custom artwork that is specially made to you – a song lyric, favorite phrase, wedding vows, or more.
We visited while fall decor was in full swing and it took everything in my power not to buy every single seasonal piece of wall art.

Restoration Brew Worx
If you love good beer and good food, get yourself to Restoration Brew Worx immediately. This historic building is right on Sandusky Street and boasts an impressive lineup of drinks and food!
The owner, Frank, is passionate, funny, and clearly a welcome addition to Main Street Delaware. They make their beer right inside of Restoration Brew Worx, using as many local ingredients as possible to make their brew.
I haven’t had a pint of beer, let alone a flight in probably YEARS. I should have had Restoration Brew Worx YEARS ago. Each style I had was delicious including their cleverly named Witber, “Delicious.” You can check out all their beer offerings here on their website.
Now now, let’s talk about the food. Wow, wow, wow it’s so good. Between our little group we tried the wings, pretzel bread, and a burger. I would have gotten more but we had to explore other spots in Downtown Delaware! Check out their whole menu here.

You’ve probably noticed these cafes popping up all around! They are an extension of Herbalife Nutrition so all their smoothies, teas, and shakes feature this product. I tried the cherry tea and it was delicious!

We didn’t try the food but my mom and stepdad went after our visit and said that it was lovely! I need to get back for a date night here for sure. You can check out their whole menu here.
