Did you think that Lucky Charms couldn’t be better? Well, well, well, how about these 3 ingredient Lucky Charms Bars?! This super delicious dessert is so simple to make, absolutely (magically) delicious, and perfect for St. Patrick’s Day.
I love a good themed dessert and these Lucky Charms bars are no exception. They are perfect for St. Patrick’s Day, however I’d also eat them all year round.
Plus, they have just THREE ingredients and total time “cooking” is just about 15 minutes. I actually adapted this recipe from our Cheerios Goodness Bars which are also quite delightful.
Here is everything you need to make this magical dessert or maybe breakfast.. I mean it is made with cereal!
- Lucky Charms. You can use name brand or store brand, whatever has little marshmallows and sweet crispy cereal pieces.
- Butter. I use unsalted, but salted butter would work too for a little bit of flavor to offset the sugar. You could also use Kerrygold to stay on the Irish theme.
- Marshmallows. I used the big ol’ Jet Puffed Marshmallows here, but you could use mini marshmallows too. They might melt quicker than the big ones so careful not to burn them.
These bars are pretty simple to make but there are a few tips to make sure they are extra delicious. I mean, I ate like four while photographing them so fair to say that they are pretty darn delicious.
- Use a BIG bowl for mixing the cereal with the melted marshmallows. I actually used TWO big bowls to make sure they were evenly coated. It gets really sticky and kinda hard to mix, so use a bigger bowl than you think you need.
- Line your 9×13 pan with parchment paper. This will make it easy to remove them after chilling and then your pan is still clean!
- When putting your mixture into the 9×13 pan, use a greased rubber spatula. I sprayed mine with PAM cooking spray – this makes it not so sticky while trying to smoosh into the pan.
I would say the number one tip to making these Lucky Charms bars is try to restrain yourself from eating them all in one sitting. Have a plan to share them because they are addictive. They would be a great addition to a little St. Patty’s Day party – kinda like our Galentine’s Day or Pumpkin Party!
If you haven’t gobbled up these no bake treats on the day they are made, you can store in a ziplock bag or air tight container for another day or two. Don’t place in the fridge because they will just get cold and hard – you’ll want to enjoy at room temperature.
Here are a few other no bake desserts you might enjoy including another vacation of these Lucky Charms bars.
- Caramel Apple Snickers Salad. I mean this is Cool Whip with candy and apples, it’s seriously amazing.
- Unicorn Poop. Another festive and delicious dessert. You do have to melt some white chocolate but it’s still super easy and also very cute.
- Lucky Charms Cereal Treats. My friend Courtney made these adorable Lucky Charms treats but hers have a few different ingredients AND sprinkles!
- Strawberry Ice Cream Cake. I will forever love homemade ice cream cake and it’s easier than you think to make!
