I have very fond memories of dirt pudding as a child. Chocolate pudding + crushed oreo’s + gummy worms, what would a child (or adult) not love about it? I had really high hopes for myself to make homemade pudding and then I was like hmm, yeah I’m going to buy the $2 Godiva pudding that takes 5 minutes.
There are a few steps to get all the toppings ready for this graveyard pudding. Wilton sent us this super cool skeleton candy mold so we melted some white chocolate and tossed it there for a spooky topping. I made the pudding in a big glass bowl and then poured it into my serving dish when I was ready.
It’s really important to note, that you shouldn’t add your cookie and candy toppings until you are ready to serve it because the cookies will get all soggy after a few hours and nobody wants that.
Our friends over at Treat Street USA, also gave us these AWESOME Halloween gummies. After you toss your crushed oreos on top of your chocolate pudding, use these fun decorations to make it perfect for your Halloween party. If you are making this for a little one, make sure to watch them with these gummies because they are a bit chewy … and delicious.
Okay, also these ones from Treat Street! How awesome and so perfect for Halloween! You can buy these Zombie gummies right over here on Amazon.
Ta-da, graveyard pudding! The skeleton candy mold worked even better than I thought it would! Just make sure you pop it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes so the chocolate has time to firm up before popping out and on to your spooky dessert. Decorate accordingly with Halloween gummies before digging in, no judgment if you eat it straight from the serving dish.
Okay… or you could put them in an actual serving dish, I guess. I love this dish and it’s definitely going to be at all my Halloween parties this year! Don’t forget to scroll on past the recipe to enter the awesome giveaway from #HalloweenTreatsWeek!
Graveyard Pudding
Ingredients
- 2 packages Godiva Chocolate Pudding instant
- 4 cups whole milk
- 2 cups Oreo’s about 15 cookies
- 4.5 oz white chocolate chips melted + cooled into bone molds
- zombie gummies, eyeballs
Instructions
- Prepare instant chocolate pudding according to package directions. I used Godiva Chocolate Pudding which calls for 2 cups of whole milk per package (4 cups total). Let chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
- While pudding is chilling, prepare white chocolate bones. Melt white chocolate chips and pour into Wilton “bone” mold, scraping the back to create level bones. Chill in fridge for at least 30 minutes.
- Crush oreos and set aside.
- When ready, spoon pudding into serving container. Layer crushed oreos on top of pudding. Then, add gummy zombies, eyeballs, and white chocolate bones until decorated to your likeness.
- Spoon into serving bowls and enjoy!
