What’s your favorite cereal? I’m a pretty big fan of any Kellogg’s cereal. Corn Pops, Rice Krispies, Honey Smax, Apple Jacks, and of course, Froot Loops.
While I will happily gobble up cereal the way that God intended, in a big bowl with cold milk, I think I’ve found a better way to enjoy Froot Loops!
Introducing Froot Loops Sugar Cookies with white chocolate chips, your new favorite cookie.
What do I need to make Froot Loops Sugar Cookies?
The base of these cookies are fairly straightforward. You probably have most ingredients in your pantry already.
- Froot Loops. Well, that’s an obvious one, right? You can also sub the “off-brand” of Froot Loops at your local grocery store and that will work just fine too!
- White Chocolate Chips. The white chocolate chips in these cookies add another little layer of sweetness and melt to the perfect consistency. I recommend the Ghirardelli brand.
- Vanilla Extract. I always always use the Rodelle brand. It’s the best vanilla out there.
- Cornstarch. This ingredient helps to stop the cookies from spreading and get that nice soft baked texture. Chilling the dough also helps with this.
- Sugar, Butter, Egg, Flour, Baking Soda, Salt. I added these all in one line because they are the basic ingredients for sugar cookies. Nothing too crazy or special about them except to make sure you have the right amount and everything is at the right temperature.

How do I make these soft baked cookies?
You’ll see the precise step by step instructions for these yummy cookies in the recipe, but here are a few tips to make sure you get that perfect texture.
- Have two consistencies of Froot Loops. You will need “chunkier” cereal for inside the cookies to give them some texture and flavor. Then, you’ll need super fine Froot Loops to roll the dough in and give ’em that cute circus rainbow look.
- Make sure your butter is room temperature. This is ESSENTIAL. Room temperature butter should be about 68-70 degrees F. I usually take mine out an hour or two before I make cookies. Here are 3 tips to quickly get it to temperature.
- Use a cookie scoop for the dough. This is imperative for evenly sized cookies which means they all cook the same. I use the OXO brand of cookie scoops and they’ve never steered me wrong.
- Chill your sugar cookie dough. Make sure you add this into your timing plan when making these Froot Loops Sugar Cookies. This helps to combine the flavors and to prevent overspreading.
These are super easy to make, just be sure you follow the instructions for the proper temperature of ingredients because that’s important for proper cookie baking.
When should I make these cereal cookies?
