On our trip to Butler County, we visited a super awesome museum/activity center! EnterTRAINment Junction “is unlike any indoor family entertainment center. You can marvel at the world’s largest indoor train display. Slide, climb and play in a children’s play area. Discover at the railroading museum and more! It’s like a theme park all indoors!”
I have to say I was super impressed with EnterTRAINment Junction! It is seriously so cool and the attention to detail is incredibly impressive.
The 25,000 sq ft area train display has tons of exhibits that have fun levels of interaction. You can help “run” some of the exhibits, especially inside the Coney Island area. All the exhibits highlight different eras and how trains have impacted that time. Make sure to look closely, because there are fun little details you might miss if you skim over it.
The exhibits are pretty low so you can easily see them but they also have little ledges so munchkins like O can get up close to check it all out. While the main exhibit is the World’s Largest Train Journey, there are also some other fun areas! There is a 5,000 square foot American Railroad Museum that “explores what railroading has meant to the history and development of the United States.”
Obviously, my favorite part of EnterTRAINment Junction is the little train ride. A little PSA though, maybe don’t wear a dress because it’s a little tough to climb in for adults. Just a heads up that the train does cost an extra $3 to ride or it’s included in their “do-it-all” pass. While we are talking about it, tickets range from free (2 and under) up to $13.95 to get into EnterTRAINment. You can purchase tickets here or sometimes they are on Groupon too!
In addition to all the activities I’ve already listed, there is a really awesome play area for kiddos. I didn’t take pictures of the giant playground because O was too little for it but it looked awesome. They have little train themed games that are perfectly sized for toddlers! If I lived in Butler County, I’d for sure be bringing O here on here rainy days.
The final “attraction” of EnterTRAINment Junction is the A-Maze-N Funhouse, which costs $9.95 on top of your ticket price. I won’t lie to you, I hate these types of things, I’m way too frightened by “fun houses” aka terrifying scary houses. But, The Beard loves them and O didn’t hate it so I sucked it up and went in.
There are six different areas with trippy kind of activities and I was only scared of half of them. I’m sure it’s actually not scary, I just don’t love tight spaces where you might get murdered. But, O enjoyed it which is nice for her father because he can enjoy them with her while I watch safely from the car.
