I love chocolate dipped pretzels. They are the perfect amount of sweet and salty for a quick little treat. Plus, they are such a great party dessert that can be made ahead of time.
I’m a big fan of dark chocolate and can be a bit snobby about the brands we use. When Divine Chocolate sent us some goodies for #Choctoberfest, I was more than thrilled. Here are a few fun facts about their wonderful products.

Ingredients for these tasty treats.
Your mind is about to be blown that you literally need THREE ingredients for these pretzels.
- Divine Chocolate Bars. These are seriously one of my favorite brands of chocolate. They have a huge array of products. So if you want to make dark chocolate dipped pretzels or milk chocolate dipped pretzels or heck, even white chocolate dipped pretzels – Divine Chocolate has you covered. Find them here or at your local Whole Foods.
- Pretzel Rods. Well, I guess this is a duh ingredients. We snagged a big container from Big Lots for like $3. You could also make mini chocolate dipped pretzels and get pretzel sticks too!
- Cute Sprinkles. If you could see inside my pantry, you might think we have a sprinkle problem. My favorites are from Sweets & Treats and Wilton.
Tips for making chocolate dipped pretzels.
- Double Boiler. I never microwave my chocolate. I always use a double boiler. It’s seriously so easy. Just place a small pot of water on the stove then place a metal bowl on top that completely covers the pot. Turn the water on and bring to a boil. Add your chocolate to the metal bowl and it will start to melt over 4-6 minutes into nice thin melted deliciousness.
- Large Metal Spoon. It’s really hard to dip your pretzels in the metal bowl I use, so I use a large metal spoon to essentially pour the melted chocolate over half the pretzel rod.
- Large Platter or Plate. It gets real messy, real fast when dipping pretzels. You will need a platter or plate to lay your freshly dipped pretzel so you can quickly add the sprinkles.
- Twirl the pretzel. When you are adding the sprinkles, hold your chocolatey pretzel rod horizontal and twirl it while you are adding the sprinkles so you get all sides covered evenly.
Some adorable holiday suggestions.

- Thanksgiving. We decorated our pretzels for Thanksgiving by using orange and yellow sprinkles and some really cute leaf sprinkles. You could also find some turkey sprinkles for an extra festive dessert.
- Christmas Dipped Pretzels. Someone please make these chocolate dipped pretzels with these Olaf themed sprinkles. I will personally be your best friend.
- Valentine’s White Chocolate Dipped Pretzels. Use white chocolate and top with hearts and pink or red sprinkles, so cute. These are definitely making an appearance at Galentine’s Day this year!
