The afternoon kicks off at 1:30 PM with a series of cultural and arts activities designed to engage children and parents alike. From crafting sessions that reflect traditional Latin American art forms to lively dance workshops, each activity is a doorway to understanding and celebrating Hispanic heritage.
At 3:00 PM, the stage will be graced by the enchanting performance of 123 Andrés, the beloved GRAMMY and Latin-Grammy award-winning music duo. Known for their vibrant musical storytelling and interactive songs, Andrés and Christina will deliver a performance that’s not just entertaining but educational, tying in elements of geography, social studies, and Spanish language learning.
Why You Should Register Early
While all activities and the performance are free, space is limited, making early registration a must to ensure your family’s spot. This event is incredibly popular, and spots fill up fast!
Special Prize Drawing
Attendees will also have the opportunity to enter a prize drawing, with chances to win family tickets to some of Columbus’s top attractions like STOMP, COSI, Columbus Symphony’s Popcorn Pops, and the Columbus Museum of Art. It’s our way of saying thank you to the community and giving more families a chance to experience the best of our city.
A Personal Touch from Last Year’s Event
Last year, my family and I had the pleasure of attending Día de los Niños, and it was nothing short of magical. During the entire afternoon, the energy was infectious. Inspired by the event’s vibrant celebration of culture and community, we even replicated some of the activities for the Hispanic Heritage Celebration at Saint Mary School, where I work. It was a fantastic way to bring the same spirit of joy and cultural appreciation into our school community.
The Importance of Celebrating Our Community

Each song, each story, and every dance step shared at the event bridges gaps between cultures and brings us closer together, celebrating the diverse tapestry that makes our community unique.
