Fall is my FAVORITE time of year and I don’t think I’m being biased by saying it’s also the best time of year for events! The temperatures are ideal and the activities are always amazing. Ohio Renaissance Festival
I’m not sure if we’ve talked about how much we love the Ohio Renaissance Festival yet. This seasonal festival is always on our fall events in Columbus list, even though it’s a little bit outside of Columbus. It’s absolutely worth the drive to experience all the fun, food, and entertainment.
Location: 10542 East State Route 73 Waynesville, OH 45068
Date(s): Weekends starting September 3rd through October 31.

Boo at the Zoo
We love the Columbus Zoo on a regular day but when you add in costumes and trick or treat, it makes for one of the best fall events in Columbus! We go to this event every year and it’s always so fun. In addition to candy stops, there are presentations about animals, character meet and greets, giant pumpkin carving, a hay maze and so much more!

Date(s): October 14-16, 21-23, and 28-30.
Hours: Fridays 5PM-8PM, Saturdays 10AM-8PM, and Sundays 10AM-5PM.

Treat Street at The Shops on Lane Avenue
This first time (FREE) event is sure to be a blast! All along the shopping center, there will be trick or treat stations for kiddos to enjoy. In the courtyard, there will be live music, cotton candy from Cotton Sugar Co., crafts, and more! Find more details here.

Pumpkins Aglow
Franklin Park Conservatory always does an incredible job with their events. This family friendly one boasts hundreds of hand-carved pumpkins that illuminate the Conservatory! During the event, you can enjoy live entertainment like fire performers and jugglers or hop over to the craft area to make spider spin art or enjoy the family dance space. All Hallows’ Eve
The Ohio History Center and Ohio Village are such an incredible resource that we are lucky to have here in Columbus. Their events are so well done and the staff/volunteers are truly immersed in their characters to make it all the more fun. All Hallows’ Eve is an evening of 1890’s-style family fun with a retelling of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by the bonfire, pumpkin carving and strange characters roaming Ohio Village.
